Engagement-Julian & Lauren

We agreed...This shot is ultra FAB! Maybe Lauren will never be a professional football player, but she sure can hold a football like no one else :)

Thanks to Plank's Bar on High St. for the shot on the left. They were nice enough to let us grab a few pics inside before we headed off to the park.

These were my models for the day...look at the fierce pose on the left!

The light coming through this tree at the park in German Village....oh so sweet!

I love something new....this was new for me. Lauren's ring shot...on a football!

I knew I wanted to shoot in this direction so I asked them to just do whatever came to them. It was a perfect ending to a fantastically fun photo session!

Wedding-John & Courtney

John & Courtney's wedding took place at Brookshire in Columbus. I had never photographed a wedding there but it was such a nice surprise. The wedding took place outside in the garden area and the reception inside. The weather decided to cooperate with us that day....YAY! I LOVE LOVE this shot! A little wind and an evening stormy sky...just perfect!

The little spaces around Brookshire made for elegant detail shots.

So many shoes, so little time :)

One of the many reasons I love Courtney....Rockin' cool blue toe nail polish!!

The light was so perfect for the actual ceremony outside. I couldn't have asked for more.

The shot on the right was completely out of camera--no photoshopping on the sunflare--it just happened that way! I wanted to jump up and down in aisle when after that click, but I controlled myself :)

THE KISS....

More fabulous light...

I loved the real flowers on the cake. Such an elegant burst of color.

Shot on the right....another SWEET shot straight out of camera.
The shot on the left was taken by our awesome 14 year old daughter who assists on some weddings. She was with me on John & Courtney's engagement session and they were so wonderful to invite her to wedding as well.

Thanks for all your kindness!! Many happy years together :)

Engagement-Brian & Courtney

I like for every couple to have a unique experience with their photo shoot. Sure...there are some spots in downtown Columbus that I love to shoot at, but we usually find some new stuff along the way. I loved the soft light coming thru here at this location and the fact that Courtney & Brian were workin' that light :)

It is so cool when couples aren't afraid to have fun and show their goofy side. This is the giant scale at Cosi. Most of the weight comes from Brians muscles, right!

Ok....now...when I ask if there is something unique to you as a couple, I have never received this answer. Brian has a 6 ft. snake for a pet so I said "Bring it on!" LOVE it!!

And we also have the doggies....

This is another shot that showed their playfulness. When wondering how we can show off Courtney's ring, this was her first reaction. My favorite of all the ring shots we did that day because it was fun :)

and last but not least....another genuine moment....look at Brian's face in the background. So real!!

Thanks being troopers in the cold Ohio weather. Can't wait to have fun with you all at your wedding next year!!

Engagement-Mike & Melinda

Mike and Melinda's shoot was in downtown Columbus. They tried to tell me that they were awkward in pictures. I just can't believe it :) I had so much fun and they looked Fabulous!!

If you have ever seen me shoot, it is very typical for me to lay on the ground to get the pictures. For this shot, I was so excited that I layed down before looking.......right into a puddle of water.

The ever-so-famous door in Columbus. Just ask the guy that works across the street!

Mary Catherines antique store was ever so kind to let us grab a few shots inside.

and so was Zpizza.

And then the shot I had been waiting for! We had some good laughs after taking this one :)

Thanks for the fun............Can't wait for the wedding!!!

Wedding-Drew & Abby

Maybe the weather wasn't absolutely perfect, but the rest of the day was. Drew and Abby's wedding was wonderful with all the details.

Bursts of color made up for any gray skies....

and "I DO" shoes :)

While the girls do their girl stuff.....

Drew plays a serious game of checkers in the nursery!

This was Drew's idea. He wanted the 2 of them to be in the same area without seeing each other before the ceremony.

We found our way out of the rain at the Georgian in Lancaster.

and made the best of the rain with the umbrellas and rainboots that Abby had prepared for the day.

Beautiful reception details...

How often do we see the groom thrown in the air? Not much ... and this wasn't the first time on this day :)

Max drove while I hung out the sunroof to get this shot. Maybe I am a little crazy, but hey, it's all about the fun of the day!

Happily Ever After, Drew & Abby!!
